HONDA HONORS ERMCO AS A SUPPLIER THAT HELPS KEEP BUSINESS AND PRODUCTION OPERATIONS RUNNING SMOOTHLY

ERMCO employees consistently provide innovative solutions for our clients with a focus on quality, communication and safety. We are proud to share the following announcement from Honda, recognizing ERMCO with a New Supplier Award.

MARYSVILLE, Ohio, July 29, 2020 – Honda today honored 17 suppliers that provide indirect products and services to five Honda automobile manufacturing plants in Ohio and Indiana and Honda business operations across the U.S. The 17 awardees were selected from more than 2,200 North American indirect procurement suppliers that provide a wide variety of equipment, products and services that support Honda’s U.S. business operations and the manufacturing of automobiles, engines and transmissions in America.

The winning suppliers were selected for achievements in the award categories of Supplier of the Year, Outstanding Value, and Challenging Spirit, as well as two new award categories: Sustainability and New Supplier. These exemplary honorees represent the extensive network of North American suppliers critical to Honda’s U.S. business operations. In 2019, indirect purchasing for business and manufacturing operations in the Central Region (Ohio and Indiana) totaled $2.3 billion.

“Our indirect procurement suppliers are our unsung heroes because they provide Honda with equipment, products and services that get little attention, but are critical to helping us maintain our production and business operations,” said Monica Oliverio, department manager, North American Indirect Procurement Department, Honda of America Mfg., Inc. “Especially during these uncertain times, we congratulate our award winners and thank them for the hard work and dedication that helps us meet the needs of our customers.”

The indirect suppliers providing equipment, products and services to Honda are local, national and international in scope, many of which have grown along with Honda in North America since the company began production in Ohio in 1979.
