The previous Fishers police station was built in 1994 when there were just 30 officers. As the department grew, space became tight requiring some divisions to be moved to other locations. Completed August 2018, the new 59,000-square-foot, three-story headquarters facility is double the size of the previous facility. It provides enough space for all 111 current officers and 50,000 pieces of stored evidence. Along with modern amenities, the project consolidates police operations in one facility with enough space for special operations, evidence storage, processing labs, a training room, a gym, an armory and intake/processing.
Driven by a tight 12-month construction schedule, ERMCO reviewed staffing requirements daily and adjusted to maximize the amount of work completed within brief openings in the schedule. The City of Fishers recognized ERMCO and General Foreman Ryan Donovan with an award for Exemplary Performance, acknowledging our contribution to achieving an on-time project completion.
ERMCO was the electrical contractor and worked in collaboration with the general contractor Hagerman. Services included site lighting, general power, emergency generator, UPS backup for all IT equipment, HVAC and equipment power, lighting and lighting controls.
This new facility enables the City of Fishers Police Department to continue providing quality service to its growing community, helping maintain a high quality of life and safety.
